"Conceptually it's a song about fate, which I believe to be malleable, changeable, and adjustable. Obviously we can't avoid death, but I do think life is a mix of destiny and vision/planning. So the song is really about that paradox of fate & our influence on it.

This lyric captures the idea best: "Lover why are you crying? I am here. I am here.“ and later "I'm not here. You're not here.”" - Lonely Benson
